Seeks Staff for New Gender Based Violence (GBV) Prevention Project
The Bantwana Initiative of World Education seeks candidates for multiple positions for an anticipated Gender Based Violence (GBV), prevention and response program. The project is expected to commence in October 2016. Bantwana (www.bantwana.org) is an initiative of World Education, Inc. (www.worlded.org).
Position: Supportive School Environment Manager - 1 position based Arusha
Position Overview:
This position will be responsible for designing strategies supporting partners to implement three key program components: 1) performance-based school block grants linked to schools' ability to meet key indicators related to creating a girl-friendly school environment; 2) innovative STEM (scent technology engineering and math) education opportunities that transform perceptions of girls' capacities and career pathways; and, 3) an early warming and response system to prevent dropout. Train and provide support supervision to local partners to ensure program fidelity, quality assurance, and achievement of targets.
Qualifications:
4+ years of experience designing, planning, and implementing formal education projects designed to enhance students learning and/or gender equity in schools; significant experience with Tanzanian education system and ICT policies and programs; experience working with USAID-funded programs a plus; fluent in English and Kiswahili; Bachelor's Degree or higher.
