Seeks Staff for New Gender Based Violence (GBV) Prevention Project
The Bantwana Initiative of World Education seeks candidates for multiple positions for an anticipated Gender Based Violence (GBV), prevention and response program. The project is expected to commence in October 2016. Bantwana (www.bantwana.org) is an initiative of World Education, Inc. (www.worlded.org).
Position: Economic Strengthening Specialist - 1 position based Arusha
Position Overview: Develop and coordinate strategy and interventions for delivering economic strengthening activities targeting women, with a focus on enhanced group savings model. Train and support local partners to establish savings groups and mobilize communities.
Work with local government and other programs to link beneficiaries to other services.
Qualifications: 5+ years implementing and measuring effectiveness of community-based economic strengthening initiatives for women; experience developing/facilitating economic strengthening training programs for local NGOs/CBOs; experience working with LGAs, including MoA; Degree in agriculture, business, international development, etc.; English and Kiswahili skills required
